Mulligan’s Pharmacy to continue the provision of vital pharmacy services in Kilmacthomas County Waterford

 

The family-run Mulligan’s Pharmacy group are set to take over and continue to offer the only pharmacy service in Kilmacthomas as Jenny Kirwan of Kirwan’s Pharmacy retires.

Today (October 4th 2021), Jenny Kirwan retires having run Kirwan’s Pharmacy at Kilmacthomas since 1987. Commenting on the occasion Jenny says, “I am delighted to have Mulligan’s Pharmacy continue the provision of vital pharmacy services to the area. I have considered the future of this business very carefully and I know that the family-run, Mulligan’s Pharmacy group will continue to provide an excellent level of care and service for the people of Kilmacthomas village and the wider region.”

Director of the Mulligan family business, Ronan Mulligan says, “We are very much looking forward to continuing to support and offer pharmacy services to the people of Kilmacthomas and beyond. The last 18 months have really brought home to us all just how important it is to have vital business services within our own communities and we are delighted to have the opportunity to continue to provide these essential services in Kilmacthomas.

The new Mulligan’s Pharmacy is located at the same address on Main Street in Kilmacthomas and it will provide pharmacy counter services along with a click and collect service while adding further health, beauty, family and wellbeing brands plus a full range of premium cosmetic and fragrance brands that would usually only found on the high street. Mulligan’s Pharmacy group now has 18 stores across Waterford, Kilkenny and South Tipperary and was first established by Jim and Sheila Mulligan in 1957 when they opened a pharmacy at George’s St in Waterford City. The family group now employs 225 people across the region.
